About the position

Duprey Hospitality is seeking a results-driven General Manager to lead our team at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Concord, NH. The General Manager is responsible for managing the hotel’s operation and maintaining established cost and quality standards in order to ensure superior service and maximize profits. The General Manager is also responsible for all aspects of the daily operations including staff management, guest service, financial performance, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times
  • Develop short and long-term financial and operational plans for the hotel, which support the overall objectives of the company
  • Prepare the annual hotel budget and maintains accurate monthly forecasts
  • Maintain active participation in revenue management strategies
  • Monitor the aging of invoices through tracking of AP/AR
  • Monitor the performance of the hotel through verification and analysis of guest satisfaction systems and monthly financial reports. Initiates corrective action
  • Implement and maintain local and national sales/marketing programs by attending and participating in events to promote the Hotel
  • Establish and maintain a pro-active Human Resource function to ensure training and development, wage/benefit administration and compliance with established labor regulations
  • Develop onboarding and new Associate orientation to increase retention rates
  • Cultivate a safe and positive work culture and encourages Associate morale and engagement
  • Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints. Initiate corrective action if needed.
  • Establish and maintain applicable preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel
  • Maintain a security function, which protect both the assets of the hotel and the personal safety of Associates and guests
  • Implement and maintain effective two-way communication systems which cross departmental lines and reach all Associates
  • Develop new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Participate and be involved in local community related events
  • Encourage teamwork and produce positive morale amongst Associates
  • Available for and responds to all Hotel emergencies in a timely manner
  • Manage in compliance with established company policies and procedures
  • Manage in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of people
