About the position

The General Manager at Sbarro Union Station is responsible for achieving restaurant objectives by supervising and directing the activities of subordinate employees, including managers and team members. This role ensures compliance with company policies, federal, state, and local laws, and business standards while effectively communicating with the restaurant management team to drive sales and profits.

Responsibilities

• Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures to subordinate managers and team members.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation requirements according to federal, state, and local standards.
• Hire, develop, evaluate, coach, and counsel managers and team members in accordance with company HR policies.
• Oversee entire store operations including systems usage, recipe adherence, payroll, and guest interactions.
• Manage profit and loss through cash control, maintaining inventory, food costs, and labor management.
• Take inventory and order/purchase food and supplies while applying cost control measures.
• Generate manager and team member schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for sales and profits.
• Engage in local restaurant marketing efforts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of restaurant or supervisory experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
