About the position

The General Manager at Flower Child is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and managing a high-volume environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of restaurant operations, and a commitment to quality service and food.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, and planning.
  • Create memorable dining experiences by exceeding guest expectations.
  • Ensure product quality and restaurant cleanliness.
  • Coach, lead, and develop the restaurant team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operations and service.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business operations and financials.
  • Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise.
  • Understand flavors, aromas, and characteristics of food ingredients.
  • Understand POS systems and OpenTable or other digital/online reservation systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of high-volume restaurant management experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business operations and financials.
  • Ability to manage shifts effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital/online reservation systems like OpenTable.
