About the position

As a General Manager at Community Choice Financial, you will be responsible for overseeing the success of your store and team, ensuring high performance and exceptional customer service. Your role will involve coaching and training staff, managing marketing efforts, enforcing quality standards, and maintaining store security. You will report to the District Director of Operations and play a key role in driving revenue growth and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, lead, and develop all store employees to obtain new business and increase store growth.
  • Identify local marketing strategies and obtain referrals to build revenue.
  • Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and state laws.
  • Audit loan/pawn agreements and transactions to ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Supervise and maintain office security including cash management and loss prevention.
  • Conduct proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Examine, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and assess risk.
  • Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.
  • Develop work schedules in accordance with budget and store needs.
  • Handle complex customer situations with integrity and professionalism.
  • Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and address facilities needs.
  • Work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment and handle multiple tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, financial, service, or related industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle for work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
