About the position

As experts in healthcare IT, Apex is committed to building systems for healthcare organizations to seamlessly communicate and exchange data across different systems and devices. The Glassware/Cagewash Support role ensures cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory glassware, animal cages, and other essential research equipment to maintain a sterile research environment. Schedule: Primarily 0800-1630, with flexibility based on research and cleaning demands.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware, animal cages, and research equipment
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sterilization processes
- Ensure compliance with biosafety and laboratory protocols
- Support overall laboratory operations by managing inventory and supplies
- Operate sterilizers (autoclaves) and cage wash equipment
- Monitor and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance teams
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1+ years in a laboratory or animal care setting experience
- Must meet all requirements for CS-PRP and BPRP to access ABSL-3 and ABSL-4 containment areas
- T3 investigation (NACLC/ANACI is acceptable if completed within 5 years prior to enrollment)
- A favorably adjudicated SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified
Nice-to-haves
