About the position

As a Glazier, you will play a crucial role in both retail and commercial settings, focusing on the installation and replacement of various glass products. Your primary responsibilities will include removing existing glass, cutting new glass to specified sizes and shapes, and ensuring proper fitting using tools such as measuring tapes, plumb lines, and levels. You will also be responsible for making or installing sashes and moldings, fastening glass into frames with appropriate clips and fasteners, and applying weather seals or putty around pane edges to ensure joints are properly sealed. In residential settings, your work will involve installing or replacing glass items such as windows, sliding glass doors, mirrors, shelving, tabletops, shower doors, and bathtub enclosures. On commercial projects, you will be tasked with installing storefronts, room dividers, display cases, and security windows. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship, as the integrity and aesthetics of glass installations are paramount to customer satisfaction.
