About the position

The Global Digital Product Owner at IFF is responsible for enhancing existing application features and standardizing user experience across digital projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to streamline user experiences, gather requirements, and support digital application projects from inception to deployment. The position requires a strong analytical mindset to identify process improvements and mentor junior team members, ensuring that applications meet user expectations and performance metrics are consistently evaluated.

Responsibilities

  • Drive improvement of existing application features and standardize User Experience (UX) of new projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Understand and streamline the user experience for maximum user efficiency.
  • Gather, evaluate, and articulate the needs and requirements of the IC&D applications through documentation and process flow diagrams.
  • Conduct interviews to gather user feedback and prepare interview guides and scripts.
  • Analyze user data to identify trends and process improvements.
  • Run collaborative workshops with cross-functional teams to align on priorities.
  • Lead validation of applications throughout the deployment process and ensure they meet user expectations.
  • Prepare communication plans and supporting content for application launches.
  • Manage testing and support of applications with the super user community.
  • Liaise with UI and IT developers to review progress and address potential risks.
  • Align with the Digital Project Manager on project deliverables and milestones.
  • Define and analyze application metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Mentor junior members of the Digital team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7+ years' work experience in the food and beverage ingredient or flavor industry preferred.
  • Degree in computer science, food science, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.
  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Invision, Miro, and Jira preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including business users, IT developers, and UX/UI designers.
