About the position

The Global Manager, IP Operations at Meta is responsible for leading a team of workflow experts within the Intellectual Property Operations team. This role focuses on enhancing and advancing mitigation against violations of Meta's IP policies, tackling complex legal issues, and ensuring operational excellence while supporting Meta's vast user base. The successful candidate will leverage data-driven decision-making to mitigate risks, communicate complex issues effectively, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to protect intellectual property.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of individual contributors to deliver efficient IP reporting and innovative risk mitigation.
  • Create and maintain a culture of operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Develop the team through mentorship, coaching, and career guidance.
  • Act as the point of contact for the team and support them in removing roadblocks.
  • Shape the vision of the team by setting goals and measuring progress.
  • Drive strategies and roadmaps for prioritized operational investments.
  • Develop and influence solutions to optimize operational processes.
  • Identify issues proactively and manage across a heavily matrixed organization.
  • Negotiate and communicate trade-offs for operational decisions effectively.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or risk roles at a large organization.
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience managing multiple levels of individual contributors.
  • Experience with operational metrics and identifying performance issues.
  • Effective communication skills across various formats and audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking and data-driven problem-solving skills.
  • Proven time-management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to improve operational systems.
  • Experience driving collaboration across cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in IP, legal/compliance areas, or trust and safety roles.
