Global Markets Python Developer

About the position

The position is for a Senior Python Developer with 5-10 years of experience, working on a W2 contract basis for 18 months. The role is based in Jersey City or New York City and requires expertise in Python, REST, ReactJS, and preferably experience in financial services within Global Markets. The candidate will be involved in developing front office applications in banking services, with a focus on quantitative research and risk and pricing application development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front office applications in banking services.
• Conduct quantitative research and data analysis.
• Work on risk and pricing application development.
• Utilize Python and other object-oriented programming languages.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure effective application performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in any object-oriented language, preferably Python.
• 3+ years of experience as a senior developer on front office applications in banking services.
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative research and development.
• 2+ years of experience in risk and pricing application development.
• 3+ years of experience in REST, ReactJS, or full-stack development.
• Experience with object databases and relational databases.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of fixed income products.
• Experience or knowledge of trade surveillance and market misconduct in global markets.
• Subject matter expertise to work on the Quartz platform.
