About the position

The Senior Global Privacy Analyst at Northrop Grumman plays a crucial role in managing the company's privacy portfolio, focusing on compliance with global privacy laws, including GDPR. This position involves operationalizing privacy processes, conducting privacy assessments, and collaborating with various teams to ensure adherence to privacy regulations. The role is fully remote and requires a strong understanding of privacy laws and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize processes to support privacy and data governance controls to manage personal data throughout its lifecycle.
  • Maintain current knowledge of global privacy laws and compliance requirements, specifically the GDPR.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on global privacy requirements, including lawful bases of processing and data transfer mechanisms.
  • Work with business stakeholders to guide the completion of privacy assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Draft Standard Contractual Clauses and review contract language related to personal data compliance.
  • Collaborate with legal, engineering, marketing, sales, procurement, and information security teams on privacy inquiries.
  • Manage privacy policies, procedures, documentation, and workflows.
  • Translate technical terminology between technical and privacy teams on regulatory requirements.
  • Manage team mailboxes to respond to privacy queries.
  • Exhibit personal ownership and accountability for continuous improvement.
  • Identify critical issues and exhibit confidence in privacy best practices.
  • Complete special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • For Level 2: Master's Degree with 0 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience, or Associate's Degree with 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of experience.
  • For Level 3: Master's Degree with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, or Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience.
  • Experience in Data Privacy or Legal disciplines.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools, including Zoom.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • CIPP, CIPM, CIPT or other related IAPP certifications.
  • Experience working with OneTrust software platform for data privacy compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
