The Global Security Operations Center Specialist is a part-time position with scheduled coverage for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. This role is responsible for various security operations including dispatching, access control, alarm monitoring, and communication with law enforcement.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for dispatching, access control, alarm, and surveillance system monitoring.
  • Review threat reports and assist with security operations and law enforcement communication.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and accurately report card access and door control systems.
  • Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Global Security Operations Center.
  • Handle incoming communications, including routine and emergency calls.
  • Coordinate security responses to activities and incidents.
  • Identify, assess, and coordinate the response to incidents that could impact the company.
  • Escalate and disseminate incident information to management.
  • Respond to inquiries, intake reports of security-related issues, and record all calls.
  • Monitor proprietary software, external intelligence feeds/alerts, access control, and video monitoring systems.
  • Leverage Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), radio, access control, fire alarm, burglar alarm, and video monitoring systems.
  • Activate mass notification system and generate written alerts about incidents.
  • Conduct initial review of threats and contact law enforcement as needed.
  • Process urgent requests for information from law enforcement.
  • Route calls to the appropriate party.
  • Monitor company retail stores when only one associate is present.
  • Act as a liaison between the physical security team and vendors.
  • Report and record all facilities maintenance requests.
  • Conduct ongoing audits of security systems.
  • Prepare reports and activity logs and communicate the information as needed.
  • Protect sensitive company and team member information.
  • Work in a team environment while completing projects as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent (GED) or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
  • Prior public safety, military, or security officer-related job experience is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • First aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to certify within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize decisions based on multiple criteria and identifiable standards.
