About the position

The Government Security Operations Specialist at Geotab will support government security operations, focusing on the FedRAMP initiative and other non-FedRAMP environments. This role involves collaboration across technical and business departments to maintain security compliance, implement best practices, and mitigate risks associated with Geotab's government-focused environments and solutions. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining security documentation, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance on security posture and programs.

Responsibilities

• Support government security operations including FedRAMP and non-FedRAMP environments.
• Maintain the GTP Gov System Security Plan and associated documents.
• Assist with the Continuous Monitoring program and ensure deliverables are met.
• Perform Security Impact Assessments and risk assessments of solutions.
• Lead the development and maintenance of security documentation according to compliance standards.
• Participate in monitoring and triage of service ticket queues for the GovSecOps team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide security technical expertise and guidance.
• Stay updated on emerging security threats and trends relevant to public sector operations.

Requirements

• Experience with security tools, particularly vulnerability management tools like Tenable Nessus, Crowdstrike, and Wiz.
• Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, FedRAMP, StateRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171.
