About The Position

The GPU Performance Architect at Lenovo will be responsible for designing and implementing methodologies, architectures, software frameworks, and tools for the deployment and management of GPU cluster solutions targeted at the Cloud Service Provider market. This role involves performance benchmarking, analysis, and tuning of compute, network, and storage subsystems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance business projects and customer engagements.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in performance benchmarking and analysis.
• Experience with compute architecture (CPU, GPU, PCIe, memory, network, storage) and system software (Linux kernel, CUDA, MPI, NCCL, RCCL, UCX).
• Experience with AI benchmarks, applications, and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Go, and shell scripting.

Nice To Haves

• PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with AI workload performance analysis in production environments.
• Experience with datacenter network performance evaluation and optimization.
• Ability to innovate and publish at top conferences.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
• Innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement methodologies, architectures, software frameworks, and tools for GPU cluster solutions.
• Design and implement performance benchmarks and workloads for evaluation and tuning.
• Analyze performance issues and implement solutions for compute, network, and storage subsystems.
• Create reference designs for internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business projects and customer engagements.
