The Graduate Nurse in the Adult Psychiatric Unit (Inpatient) at UMass Memorial Health is a vital role that involves providing nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. This position is designed for recent graduates who are eager to apply their nursing education in a practical setting, particularly in the field of psychiatric care. The Graduate Nurse will be responsible for assisting patients in navigating their hospitalization period safely and effectively, ensuring that their needs are met with compassion and professionalism. The role emphasizes the importance of teamwork and communication, as the Graduate Nurse will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. In this part-time position, the Graduate Nurse will work 24 hours per week, primarily during evening shifts from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM. The schedule includes every other holiday and weekends, which may require flexibility and commitment to patient care during these times.
