About the position

The Grain Facility Assistant Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations at an individual Grain Facility, ensuring that all activities align with safety, environmental standards, and operational goals. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of grain received and stored, as well as managing the loading of grain for sales. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for customer service and effective communication with support departments to facilitate smooth operations. In this position, the Assistant Manager will provide direct support to the Grains Facility Manager in executing various projects and initiatives. A significant focus will be placed on safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring that all necessary certifications, such as Lock Out/Tag Out and Forklift operations, are maintained and do not lapse. The role will also involve managing the quality of operations, particularly in receiving and maintaining grain to meet quality standards. People management is another critical aspect of this role, where the Assistant Manager will work to increase employee retention by providing direction and support to team members. This includes ensuring that all necessary tools and resources are available for employees to succeed in their roles. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and financial understanding.
  • Solid math, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence in relevant computer programs.
  • Ability to climb up to 150 feet.
