About The Position

The Grants Program Data Analyst position at the State of Illinois involves complex duties related to grant management operations within the Division of Developmental Disabilities. The role focuses on reviewing grant applications, analyzing financial and performance data, and developing training for grantees. The analyst will also track compliance with reporting requirements and conduct on-site evaluations of grantee programs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in business or public administration with relevant coursework.
• Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in management operations analysis.
• Bilingual proficiency is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of professional experience with community agencies.
• Experience utilizing the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA).
• Four years of experience with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.
• Experience presenting ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complex duties of grant management operations.
• Assist with the development and publishing of public notices for competitive Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs).
• Assist with the development of the grant program exhibit contained within the Uniform Grant Agreement.
• Provide recommendations to the supervisor and management team on grant management policies and practices.
• Track and monitor mandated grantee reporting requirements for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy using Microsoft Excel.
• Conduct on-site reviews of grantee Internal Control/Risk Assessment programs.
