About the position

This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that ground operations manuals, bulletins, policies, and procedures are reviewed, updated, and distributed across the organization. The position plays a vital role in maintaining regulatory compliance, improving operational effectiveness, and ensuring the application of the company's values and behavioral standards.

Responsibilities

  • Amends cargo carriage policies and procedures under the direction of the Manager Ground Operations Procedures or the ground operations management team.
  • Partners with the Manager Ground Operations Procedures to develop, revise, and update Ground Operations Bulletins and Manuals.
  • Provides guidance and coordinates revisions to the Weight and Balance Manual, ensuring all updates are aligned with operational requirements.
  • Works closely with the Manager of Document Services, Document Services Specialists, and Technical Writers to manage manual revision processes and activities.
  • Collaborates with Operations Engineering to implement aircraft weighing changes and ensures timely dissemination of updated information to all relevant users.
  • Updates and maintains Ground Operations information on the company's internal platform, GlobalNet, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Strives to achieve all ground operations procedural goals related to performance, safety, service, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops or revises ground operations procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Anticipates and proactively addresses issues related to ground operations procedures, taking the necessary actions to resolve any challenges.
  • Supports Ground Operations Instructors in reviewing and refining the training programs to meet operational requirements.
  • Completes additional activities and special projects as assigned by the Senior Manager Ground Operations Procedures or the ground operations management team.

Requirements

  • College degree, or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of previous airline experience is required.
  • A broad background in airline or aviation operations is necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Wide-body aircraft Weight and Balance and Load Planning certification preferred
  • Dangerous Goods certification preferred.
