About the position

The Grounds Maintenance Specialist at Goodwin University is responsible for performing routine grounds work, including mowing, weeding, snow removal, and other maintenance tasks. This role supports the upkeep of university properties and ensures that all safety procedures are followed while promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, weeding, and snow removal.
• Operate large and small equipment such as tractors, mowers, and loaders.
• Assist with grounds construction and maintenance work.
• Ensure all safety procedures are practiced during maintenance activities.
• Continue professional development and training to stay current with industry trends.
• Assist other department staff as needed to promote teamwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of relevant experience in grounds maintenance and landscaping.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Knowledge of proper operation of grounds equipment.
