About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is now hiring for a 2nd Shift Team Lead in Plainfield! This position starts at $22.00 per hour with a $700 new hire bonus. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 5 PM to 1 AM. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the workflow and work duty allocation for team members within an assigned department of the facility, which includes Put-Away, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping/Pack-out, Staging, and Order Selecting areas. This is a working-lead role where you will work alongside your team while being the initial point of contact for associates. The role reports directly to the Supervisor and involves training associates, monitoring production, providing constructive feedback, and assisting the Supervisor to ensure the highest customer standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years in a progressive role within a supply chain, logistics, warehouse or distribution environment as a Team Lead or Workflow Planner.
• A minimum of 6 months experience operating stand-up material handling equipment is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment, preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating other material handling equipment such as Order (Cherry) Picker, Sit-down, Clamp, Electric Pallet Jack.
• Skills in Lead, Supervisor, Production, Warehouse, General Labor, Forklift, Quality Control, Material Handler, Equipment Operator, Reach truck, Dock Stocker.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the workflow and work duty allocation for team members within an assigned department.
• Work alongside your team while being the initial point of contact for associates.
• Train new associates and monitor their progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to associates and assist the Supervisor.
• Conduct training for new associates and maintain accurate records or logs.
• Review documents prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
• Monitor performance of associates within the work group.
• Open and/or close and secure the building as directed.
• Report unsafe conditions to the supervisor if they cannot be self-corrected.
• Communicate work practices, procedures, and methods to associates.
