About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant sales technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve internal and external guests by committing to the Company's Guest Service Principles.
  • Lead the overall sales effort, achieving financial goals and setting future plans.
  • Prospect for new accounts and maintain current accounts through various sales activities.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections with clients and maintain client relationships through lunches and meetings.
  • Return phone calls related to outside sales and booked business, write contracts, and prepare promotional materials.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers through sales calls and trade shows.
  • Conduct effective sales programs with an emphasis on outside solicitation.
  • Work closely with the hotel's management team and communicate effectively.
  • Use negotiating and communication skills to close business sales opportunities.
  • Initiate and react to financial trend analysis for rates, revenue, occupancy, and market segments.
  • Prepare a marketing plan and budget to position the hotel competitively in the marketplace.
  • Maintain neat, accurate, and organized sales reports, files, and history.
