About The Position

The Guest Service Representative/Inventory Management role is designed to be the first point of contact for customers at our salon, responsible for greeting clients, answering inquiries, and processing transactions. This position also involves managing inventory and has the potential for growth into an Operations role within our small but ambitious company.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Salon Receptionist, Front Desk Representative or similar role
• Hands-on experience with office equipment and POS systems
• Familiarity with processing transactions
• Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a customer service attitude
• Solid organization and record-keeping skills
• An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service experience (1 year preferred)
• High school or equivalent education (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and inform assigned stylist of their arrival
• Book and confirm appointments via phone, text, and email
• Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts
• Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area
• Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and schedule appointments based on availability
• Inform clients about new services and discounts
• Cross-sell services and products when appropriate
• Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered
• Maintain a tidy reception area
• Help keep the salon running smoothly, sweeping up in between clients, turning over spa rooms between clients
• Keeping the waiting area and retail area clean and tidy
• Doing laundry throughout the day and stocking hot towel warmers
• Keeping track of current inventory on hand
• Placing orders with current vendors
• Cross checking vendors to keep costs down
• Processing Purchase Orders
• Receiving Stocking
