About the position

The Guest Service Representative at Hilton Garden Inn Lubbock is responsible for providing a pleasant and efficient experience for guests during check-in and check-out. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining hotel operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
  • Issue room keys and escort instructions to the Bell person or directly to guests.
  • Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, registration, and local attractions.
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts.
  • Make, confirm, and cancel reservations for guests.
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  • Post charges for room, food, liquor, or telephone services.
  • Sort and rack incoming mail and messages; transmit and receive messages using communication equipment.
  • Understand and enforce hotel credit policies; account for cash and make deposits according to policies.
  • Initiate friendly greetings to guests.
  • In a lead capacity, take responsibility for assigned employees in the absence of the Supervisor, assign work, and ensure proper performance.
  • Make reservations for restaurants, transportation, or entertainment for guests; manage guests' valuables in hotel safe.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 months of experience in hospitality, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service.
