About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Big Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Technologies Team. This role focuses on designing and optimizing systems that process massive amounts of data, enhancing performance and stability. Responsibilities

• Design and optimize systems for processing large datasets.
• Enhance performance and stability of data systems.
• Interact effectively with end-users to understand their needs.
• Perform query performance tuning.
• Move data between RDBMS and Big Data environments.
• Provide occasional support during off hours or weekends.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in database development and administration, preferably with Oracle/PLSQL.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficient with on-prem systems and managing large datasets (terabyte scale).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Expertise in query performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Unix Shell scripting.
