Hardscaping Driver/Crew Member

About the position

The Hardscaping Driver/Crew Member at Hardison Landscaping LLC is responsible for assisting in landscape and hardscape installation projects while driving company vehicles to various job sites. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate job-related machinery. The position involves working in various weather conditions and requires physical stamina and knowledge of landscaping practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to transport crew members and/or equipment to various job sites.
• Assist with hardscaping projects including installation of patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Utilize hand and power tools to complete construction tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks as needed to support overall project goals.

Requirements

• 21+ years old with a clean NCDL.
• 1+ year of hardscape or landscape installation experience.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a daily basis.
• Ability to effectively work in all types of weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Demonstrate the ability to safely operate and back up a F450 'dump-body' truck with an 18' equipment trailer attached.
• Knowledge of plant material and horticulturally sound practices of plant installation.
• Knowledge of hardscape materials and proper installation methods.
• Knowledge of turf grass and ability to prepare residential lawns for sod installation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in installing paver patios with little to no supervision.
• Experience in installing retaining walls with little to no supervision.
• Experience in operating trucks with trailers proficiently.
