About the position

As a Hardware Engineering Lead at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) division, you will oversee a team of hardware designers through the critical design review and final approval processes for the PAC-3 program. This role involves managing cost, schedule, and technical performance while collaborating with various teams to ensure successful integration and testing of advanced aerospace and defense systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of hardware designers from Critical Design Review (CDR) to final U.S. Army approval for the new IGS design to PAC-3 Production.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance as the Hardware Design Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Oversee missile integration, hardware-in-the-loop integration, qualification testing, flight testing, and configuration audits.
  • Collaborate with Software Design, Test Design, Production Operations, Global Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Integration Test & Evaluation teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Extensive experience in electrical hardware design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry.
  • Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA).
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time domestically.
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with troubleshooting Analog and Digital Electronics.
  • Experience leading failure investigation, root cause and corrective action.
  • Working knowledge of lab equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, DMM, signal Generators, spectrum analyzers.
  • Certified or working knowledge of Control Account Management (CAM).
  • Previous Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and Production readiness testing experience.
  • Experience working with suppliers and leading suppliers during technical issue investigation.
  • Strong background in cross-discipline systems engineering practices including requirements development/maintenance, architecture, hardware/software design, integration and verification.
  • Previous experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) role, particularly in a production setting.
  • Familiarity with the transition from development to production, including the resolution of design issues and optimization for mass production.
  • Prior experience with Lockheed Martin programs or similar defense contractors is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with potential for future technical leadership roles.
