Cognizant is seeking a talented Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Model Based Software Engineer specializing in MATLAB and Simulink to join our Mobility Practice in Dearborn, Michigan. This role is pivotal in supporting the development of embedded software through a Model Based Design (MBD) approach, specifically tailored for Automotive OEM vehicles and connected vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, bug-free code while adhering to best practices in software modeling and design. As part of the Cognizant Mobility team, you will engage with various stakeholders, including feature owners and validation teams, to gather and analyze requirements for HIL plant control model development. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and implementing the HIL plant control model, developing vehicle plant control models, and validating features within the Simulink environment. You will also troubleshoot issues using CAN tools such as CANoe and CANAlyzer, ensuring that the software meets the required specifications and functions correctly. This position requires a strong foundation in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a focus on automotive engineering services.
