About the position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will play a crucial role in advancing the Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL/Flatsat) testbed. While collaborating with the development team, you will help build a vehicle-level emulator of the Blue Ring Spacecraft. Your role will involve gathering requirements from collaborators and building the testbed to support a diverse range of development and operations activities. This person will decompose test goals and objectives to deliver spacecraft avionics testbeds that meet system test plans and requirements. They will be directly responsible for crafting and managing lab architecture, including rack designs, lab layout, and facility integration. In addition, you will choose, acquire, and, if needed, craft or adapt signal emulation and data acquisition hardware. Furthermore, you will develop integration solutions for spacecraft components and electronics, such as component mounting, grounding, and harness design. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
