About the position

The Hardware Validation Engineer at eInfochips Inc. is responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex systems that involve FPGA, microprocessor, and DSP components. The role emphasizes high-speed interfaces and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software. The engineer will also manage the entire circuit card design lifecycle and stay updated on emerging technologies in high-speed digital design.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and debug systems with complex FPGA, microprocessor, and DSP components.
• Perform board-level debugging of hardware and high-speed interfaces, ensuring compliance with SOSA standards.
• Analyze FPGA schematics and coordinate with FPGA engineers to resolve board-level issues.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers for seamless integration of hardware and software.
• Create and execute test plans, perform root cause analysis, and conduct thorough testing of electronic circuits and systems.
• Manage the entire circuit card design lifecycle, including requirements capture, schematic design, and thermal analysis.
• Stay informed on emerging high-speed digital design technologies and apply innovations to improve system designs.

Requirements

• Experience with debugging FPGA and using FPGA tools.
• Familiarity with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, LVDS, and SERDES.
• Knowledge of Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA).
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with circuit card design including schematics, PCB layout, signal integrity, and simulations.
• Ability to create and execute test plans and conduct hardware testing.
