About the position

The HCM Trainer / Instructional Designer will support government agencies in implementing talent solutions, focusing on talent acquisition and performance management programs. This role involves delivering training, providing consultation, and analyzing data to enhance the effectiveness of human resources initiatives. The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy, detail-oriented, and capable of developing and delivering training across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and content related to the state's newest human resources information system, Workday.
  • Provide training and resources to agency recruiters on talent pool optimization, internship programs, interviewing, and hiring best practices.
  • Research agency training best practices to support continuous program improvement.
  • Analyze agency-related data and generate graphic and narrative reports and presentations.
  • Maintain and update training course materials, exercises, hand-outs, and exams to reflect best practices and incorporate changes based on feedback.
  • Conduct instructor-led training both virtually and in-person for state entity staff.
  • Utilize systems training environments or related tools to lead student activities.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the HRAs Learning Management System (LMS) and respond to enrollment requests.
  • Respond to requests from various stakeholders.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering training through multiple methods including in-person, online, virtual, and multimedia.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Program management and administration skills, including organization and multitasking.
  • Aptitude for learning and using technology for training design and data analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • High school diploma/GED and three years of job-related experience in human resources, or one year of experience at the lower-level HR Spec 2 or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization, or other Workday modules as an administrator or trainer.
  • HRIS systems training experience.
