About the position

The position involves supporting the Head of the Programme Management Office in coordinating the management of projects and programmes. This includes providing assistance to the Project/Programme Manager on various project management processes, working closely with project managers and regional/local teams on financial management, project planning, overall governance, and management reporting. The role requires driving the end-to-end delivery of change projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and managing change effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head, Project & Programme Management Office in driving, coordinating, and managing the Project/Programme.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of change projects in the assigned domain using Agile delivery methodology.
  • Manage the Change Delivery Standards (CDS) and assurance framework for projects, ensuring compliance with governance policies.
  • Lead change management initiatives, manage risks, and seek continuous improvement.
  • Support financial management, project planning, and governance for Group, Region, and Country teams.
  • Establish governance and review Programme documents to meet quality standards.
  • Update Governance Dashboard and conduct Phase Gate reviews for funded initiatives.
  • Prepare quality materials for the Project/Programme Steering Committee.
  • Engage global teams on Change Delivery Standards and ensure updates are cascaded.
  • Ensure project tools are up to date and track project status, financials, risks, and issues.
  • Coach and guide project managers in project management practices and accreditations.
  • Organize and coordinate project forums and management presentations.
  • Drive the annual Investment budget exercise for applicable regions.
  • Monitor process implementation effectiveness and enhance controls for risk management.
  • Embed high standards of ethics and compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the banking field with a proven track record in project implementation.
  • Knowledge of banking policies and procedures related to NFRR and key risk areas.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Highly disciplined and structured with an outcome-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and perform under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management and/or Agile experience/certification.
  • Experience with planning tools such as Clarity PPM, Jira, Confluence, Trello.
