About the position

The Head of Business Intelligence & Reporting, First Vice President at Valley National Bank is responsible for leading a team of data analysts and BI specialists to deliver key metrics across all business lines and functions. This role focuses on developing talent to enhance data-analytics maturity, maintaining intuitive dashboards in a scalable BI environment, and driving a data-driven culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data analysts and BI specialists to deliver key metrics across all business lines and functions.
• Develop talent to increase data-analytics maturity.
• Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards in a scalable, user-friendly BI environment.
• Drive a data-driven culture by increasing adoption of business intelligence and metrics tools.
• Manage BI tools and architecture, planning for current and future needs.
• Generate insights and present findings to business and functional teams using intuitive data visualization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Econometrics, or closely related discipline.
• 5 years post-baccalaureate progressive experience in the field, including 3 years in the job offered or in a senior business analytics role.
• 3 years of experience in data models building and data manipulation in SQL Server Management Tool and Tableau.
• 2 years of experience in data visualization and developing dashboards.
• 2 years of experience using Looker, Snowflake, and Python.
