The position involves servicing and troubleshooting plant rolling stock and heavy equipment, with a particular focus on forklifts. The role requires maintaining and improving the preventive maintenance program, emphasizing safety, quality, continuous improvement, and production efficiency. The technician will work in compliance with all company safety policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities also include project justification, risk management, troubleshooting, goal setting, cause and effect analysis, progress evaluation, project completion, and follow-up. The technician will be responsible for ordering parts, maintaining inventory, and communicating effectively with plant and supervisory personnel. Additionally, the role requires reading and understanding service manuals, maintaining required documentation, and using a work order system to track maintenance and schedule preventive maintenance.
