About the position

Garden House School of Briarcliff is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Preschool Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This part-time position involves working with our 4's program from September through June, focusing on children ages two through five. Our school emphasizes a thoughtful balance of play and structured learning, fostering a holistic view of child development that includes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. We believe that instilling kindness, manners, and respect for one another is essential in character building. Additionally, we prioritize the early introduction of reading and writing skills before Kindergarten, utilizing a program developed in our London school and implemented in our New York locations. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, along with at least 9 credits in early childhood education or a plan of study to acquire these credits. The role requires a commitment to nurturing young minds and creating a supportive learning environment that encourages exploration and growth. Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in early childhood education.
  • 2 years of experience in childcare.
