The Health Care Data Governance Analyst/Lead position is a pivotal role within our organization, dedicated to enhancing our data governance initiatives and ensuring the integrity, consistency, and security of our enterprise data. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data governance strategies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and organizational policies. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare data and the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal teams and external partners to achieve data governance goals. In this role, you will utilize Enterprise Data Catalog platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, or Alation to manage and curate data catalogs. You will ensure best practices in data catalog curation, business glossary development, data lineage, and governance workflows. Your expertise in healthcare industry terminology will support the development of accurate and comprehensive data glossaries and business definitions, which are crucial for effective data governance. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will coordinate with multiple technical teams and stakeholder groups, including Information Systems (I.S.) and external vendors, to ensure the successful execution of data governance initiatives. Your advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft 365 suite will be essential for preparing, managing, maintaining, and storing templates of glossary input data offline of Informatica CDGC. This role not only requires technical skills but also strong collaboration, communication, and client service skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead through challenging situations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Enterprise Data Catalog platforms, including Informatica, Collibra, or Alation, to manage and curate data catalogs.
  • Ensure best practices in data catalog curation, business glossary development, data lineage, and governance workflows.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data governance strategies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with multiple technical teams and stakeholder groups to foster alignment and achieve data governance goals.
  • Apply knowledge of healthcare and related industry clinical and business terminology to support the development of accurate and comprehensive data glossaries and business definitions.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with various internal teams, such as Information Systems (I.S.), and external partners, including vendors, to ensure the successful execution of data governance initiatives.
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills and proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite to prepare, manage, maintain, and store templates of glossary input data offline of Informatica CDGC.
