About The Position

The Help Desk position at Insight Global involves providing technical support and assistance to users, primarily through a service desk ticketing system. The role requires proactive problem-solving skills to resolve issues related to password resets, computer reordering, basic networking, and more, while also engaging with executive teams directly. The candidate will participate in daily meetings and be part of an on-call schedule for critical situations, ensuring smooth operations for the sales team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a help desk or technical support role (flexibility for 2-3 years).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows 10.
  • Understanding of Active Directory (AD) password resets.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for Chrome (clear cache, incognito mode).
  • Self-starter with ambition and drive to be proactive.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, specifically service desk.
  • A+ certification must be obtained within one year of hiring.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VOIP systems.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN and TCP/IP.
  • Basic understanding of connectivity issues and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Okta SSO/MFA.

Responsibilities

  • Log into the service desk ticketing system and check emails for outstanding items.
  • Grab unassigned tickets and resolve them to the best ability.
  • Perform password resets and reorder computers as needed.
  • Address break-fix issues and basic networking problems.
  • Engage with executive teams without a tiered escalation system.
  • Handle Okta integration for Active Directory (AD).
  • Participate in daily morning and afternoon meetings.
  • Be on call once every 7 weeks for critical sales operations.
