High School AP Physics Tutor

About the position

The AP Physics Tutor position involves providing personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions to high school students in Brentwood, TN. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and have a solid understanding of physics. Tutors will work closely with students to adapt teaching methods to fit individual learning styles, ensuring that each student can reach their full potential. The position requires effective communication with both students and their families, as well as timely reporting of session outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide a session report for the office and families within twenty-four hours of each tutoring session.
• Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student.
• Successfully and professionally teach students to fit their individual needs.
• Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests.
• Follow-up with the office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred.
• Strong administration skills.
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills.
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must.
• Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone.

Nice-to-haves

• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement.
• Experience with basic Database/Data Entry.
• Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan).
• Having a personality that is suited for different types of students.
