The Historic Preservation Manager at Aramark, based in Yosemite National Park, plays a crucial role in overseeing and validating maintenance projects related to historic preservation. This position involves direct interaction with the Work Control Team (WCT) to assess the scope and complexity of incoming work requests. The manager is responsible for evaluating detailed work parameters, which include the skills, time, materials, and equipment necessary for each project, as well as the conditions and accessibility of the work site. In addition to project evaluation, the Historic Preservation Manager develops preliminary schedules, cost estimates, and summary justifications for projects, which require customer and client approval. The role demands a high level of coordination with team members, including Facility Supervisors and the Contracts Manager, to ensure that projects are scheduled and implemented effectively. As projects progress, the manager is tasked with submitting status reports on labor utilization, completion milestones, and costs, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. A key aspect of this role is the supervision and development of team members, fostering the necessary skill sets for advancement in the field of Historic Preservation. The manager must maintain current knowledge of historic preservation practices to provide guidance and answer questions from other workers regarding procedures, policies, and directives. Furthermore, the position involves compiling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, Responsiveness, People, and Environment (SQCRPE).
