About the position

The HOA / Condominium Portfolio Manager at Newell Property Management is responsible for managing relationships with Board members and overseeing the operations of various communities within their portfolio. This role emphasizes collaboration, compliance, and effective communication to ensure the smooth functioning of property management services. The position offers substantial support and a focused role, allowing the manager to concentrate on board interactions and property concerns while maintaining a work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Board members for the communities within their portfolio
  • Attend board meetings and take minutes
  • Perform site inspections as needed
  • Work closely with other CAMs, including the Resident Services Manager and Contract Services Manager to maintain and resolve property concerns
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws and requirements for their properties
  • Respond to phone calls and emails from board members about concerns and help resolve problems the association may encounter
  • Draft budget review and refinement with Board members
  • Emergency on-call as needed (1 week at a time, 4 times per year)

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in property management or a related field
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in property management
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting
