About the position
Visiting Angels in West Springfield MA has 26 years of helping seniors in Hamden and Hampshire county. We believe in matching the client's needs with the caregiver's. When this happens, a beautiful relationship forms and this is so rewarding for everyone involved. Lovely elderly woman in Northampton needs your help. Her family would greatly appreciate your assistance. She has Alzheimer's Dementia and her family wishes for a caregiver to walk with her to her meals, activities, and in good weather outside walks. She also needs some cueing for personal care. I'm certain when you have a connection and a trusting relationship, that she would be so responsive to your gentle suggestions. They would love to be introduced to her "Angel" as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Assist the elderly woman with walking to meals and activities
- Provide cueing for personal care
- Engage in outdoor walks when weather permits
- Establish a trusting relationship with the client
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of professional Elder Dementia Care
- Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and an acceptable MRV check
- Provide at least 2 - 3 Professional References... Not Friends
- Willing to submit to Background Checks
- Must be Reliable & Punctual, Caring and Patient
- Strong ability to speak, read, write, understand & communicate with elders in English
