About the position

Rockland Trust is seeking a Home Equity Loan Closer to join the team in the Middleboro Office! This position is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of home equity line and home loan closing packages and all other associated loan closing documents processed through the business unit. The jobholder must be detail oriented with an ability to prioritize and multi-task. Completing closings includes, property title review, gathering closing conditions, managing and monitoring a closing calendar and clear concise communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Maintain, manage and monitor a working queue and pipeline
  • Work closely with Retail Branch and other business units to provide product, workflow, process and technology guidance to ensure an exemplary customer experience
  • Create accurate closing packages, disclosures and modifications within regulatory timeframes
  • Assist with post-closing review of completed closing packages and resolve any issues or deficiencies
  • Schedule home equity line/loan closings with customers/branches and update/maintain the home equity closing calendar
  • Review and monitor home equity closing reports to ensure all files are scheduled to close in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and business partners
  • Review and approve various legal documents and processes related to loan closings
  • Perform a detailed analysis of the completed title/vesting reports to ensure a secure lien on the collateral property
  • Assist in other areas of department when necessary

Requirements

  • Prior Loan Closing/Processing or Lending experience required
  • Must have an understanding of home equity and consumer products, documentation and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Point, DocuSign and lending platform technology
