About the position
As a Home Health Aide (HHA) at Addus Homecare, you will play a crucial role in providing essential personal care services to clients in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with their personal care needs, which may include dressing, bathing, and other daily activities that promote their well-being. You will also be responsible for providing companionship, which is an integral part of our service, ensuring that clients feel supported and valued in their own homes. In addition to personal care, you will assist with routine household tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry. This multifaceted role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for clients, as well as the ability to adapt to their individual needs and preferences. You will be visiting clients in various locations throughout Suffolk County, including Oakdale, Middle Island, Smithtown, Brentwood, Bayshore, and Babylon, which allows for a diverse and fulfilling work experience. Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care needs for clients (dressing, bathing, etc.)
- Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry
- Visit clients in their home and provide companionship
Requirements
- Active HHA or PCA certification
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal transportation
- All required medical paperwork (Physical, PPD, or Chest X-ray, Titers)
- Be 18 years of age
