About the position

Hoffmann Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to terminally ill patients in their homes. This position is crucial as it involves delivering personal care services in accordance with the treatment plan established by the primary nurse. The Hospice Aide will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that the needs of patients and their families are met with dignity and respect. This position requires a high level of empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to foster good relationships with patients and their families. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Possession of certification to practice as a home health aide in the State of California.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Experience as a home health or hospice aide is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and patient mobility assistance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospice care or home health care settings.
  • Strong writing skills for accurate reporting.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with good judgment.
