About the position
Hoffmann Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to terminally ill patients in their homes. This position is crucial as it involves delivering personal care services in accordance with the treatment plan established by the primary nurse. The Hospice Aide will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that the needs of patients and their families are met with dignity and respect. As a Hospice Aide, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that may include assisting patients with daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This position requires a high level of empathy, patience, and strong communication skills to foster good relationships with patients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license from the State of California and CPR certification. Experience in home health or hospice care is preferred, along with the ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and patient mobility assistance. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services to terminally ill patients in their homes.

Requirements
- Possession of certification to practice as a home health aide in the State of California.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Experience as a home health or hospice aide is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and patient mobility assistance.
