About the position

The position involves conducting patient assessments to identify suitable candidates for admission into ScionHealth's specialty hospitals. The role requires daily travel within the designated territory of NYC, Bronx, Westchester, and White Plains, focusing on building relationships with referral sources and managing the admissions process. The candidate will represent ScionHealth professionally, design marketing strategies, and conduct educational meetings to promote the hospitals' services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments to identify appropriate patients for potential admission.
  • Follow up daily with patients and their decision-makers for clinical reassessment.
  • Manage referrals and admissions generated through assigned hospitals and territories.
  • Represent ScionHealth and maintain positive relationships with accounts.
  • Design and manage marketing strategies for assigned accounts.
  • Identify and contact new referral sources to grow the territory.
  • Conduct in-person educational meetings with referral sources.
  • Coordinate transmission of clinical and benefit information between patients and referral sources.
  • Generate leads through prospecting methods and educational presentations.
  • Meet monthly goals for assigned hospitals and expand referral sources.
  • Manage the admissions process for eligible patients.
  • Educate patients and families on the benefits of ScionHealth Hospitals.
  • Adhere to company standards and ethical business practices.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, communication, healthcare administration, nursing, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of healthcare sales experience or clinical healthcare experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required; clinical license preferred (RN, LPN/LVN, RT).
  • Demonstrated understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers related to LTACH benefits.
  • Competence in strategic business planning and marketing initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Formal sales training preferred.
  • Extensive healthcare sales work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
