Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that analyses and reports provide detailed, specific data regarding performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and the department.
  • Generating reports from a variety of internal and external sources including benchmarking databases e.g. PHIS, PACT, specialty specific registries.
  • Providing analyses and reports of performance indicators, providing trended data using statistical process control or other appropriate epidemiological techniques.
  • Maintaining sufficient knowledge of biostatistical techniques to ensure effective collaboration with biostatisticians and epidemiologists regarding appropriate data analysis.
  • Performing in-depth data analysis and insight generation including data entry, data collection, data-mining and report creation in support of various hospital departments, physicians, and outside organizations.
  • Working with end users to gather and understand reporting/data requirements and delivers reporting/data requests in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate and improve operations, accomplish directives and to facilitate the resolution of problems.
  • Ensuring all reporting solutions and data requests are validated and quality assurance tested by peers and end users, including developing and maintaining detailed data quality assurance documents.
  • Participating in all department activities and training as it pertains to tools and methodology. Assisting in developing presentations as appropriate for leadership.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and using them to implement reporting and dashboarding solutions.
  • Collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field of study.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience in a healthcare setting is preferred including Strategic Planning, reporting and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of clinical concepts, terminology and workflow - preferably as they apply to medical economics, hospital and health system.
  • Minimum Qualification: Data Science & Machine Learning, Business Intelligence.
  • Educative mentality and ability to help explain advanced technical concepts to senior staff and process improvement.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Secaucus.
