About The Position

The Host at Pizza Nova plays a crucial role in providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for guests. Under the direction of the General Manager and management team, the Host is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and assisting the service team as needed. This part-time position requires effective communication skills and a service-oriented mindset to enhance the overall guest experience.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills and a service-oriented mindset.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize work in a busy environment.
• Willingness to help the team deliver a top-notch guest experience.
• Possession of a current Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the hospitality and service industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests entering and exiting the restaurant with genuine greetings and thank you's.
• Manage restaurant reservations using the company POS and booking system.
• Answer phones and route calls to management or take messages as appropriate.
• Seat guests at tables, provide menus, and alert the service team to new tables.
• Track restaurant capacity and table availability to provide estimated wait times to guests.
• Ensure the host stand and restaurant entry are clean and presentable at all times.
• Assist the service team with bussing and setting tables to ensure availability for new guests.
• Ensure menus are current, clean, and presentable.
• Assist with side work and tasks as needed, including stocking and cleaning.
• Follow proper cleaning and handwashing standards.
