About the position

The Catering Sales Manager (CSM) at Embassy Suites by Hilton Noblesville Indianapolis Conference Center is responsible for generating revenue primarily from social, corporate, and wedding markets. The CSM will engage in various sales functions, including researching and developing new business opportunities, negotiating sales, and managing customer relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with current and prospective customers.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities and demand generators for the hotel.
  • Conduct site visits and prepare creative proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales while addressing customer concerns and feedback.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with customers throughout the event planning process.
  • Compile sales reports and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Assist in other departments as needed and directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in hotel sales or account management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in B2B sales and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and customer service best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with OnQ PMS and Delphi systems.
  • A college degree with a sales and marketing emphasis.
