About the position

The Hotel Sales Manager at Fairfield Inn & Suites Plymouth, MA, is a key member of the hotel leadership team responsible for driving the hotel's sales efforts. This role involves securing new accounts, maintaining existing relationships, and executing effective sales and marketing strategies to enhance profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Soliciting group business within different market segments via tele-prospecting and outside sales calls
  • Maintaining rapport and developing future business with existing contacts
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients to produce group business, including room sales
  • Attending networking events and developing relationships with local community groups, companies, and trade organizations
  • Conducting site tours for potential clients
  • Maintaining customer database via hotel sales software
  • Developing contracts and following up with customers
  • Developing and managing the departmental budget and monitoring sales activity and performance
  • Developing and executing the annual sales and marketing plan

Requirements

  • 2-5 years prior hotel experience
  • Experience in outside sales calls and prospecting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Hotel PMS and Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated
  • High sense of urgency in managing client relationships
  • Detail oriented
  • The desire to be a team player
