Household Coach

About the position

This position is for a Household Coach in the San Bernardino: Casa Paseo Crisis Residential Treatment program. The role involves coaching clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), preparing meals, and assisting with various life skills. The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility tailored to adults aged 18-59 experiencing psychiatric crises, providing a safe environment for stabilization, recovery, and community transition.

Responsibilities

• Coach clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Shop for food and assist with meal preparation
• Supervise meal preparation according to federal, state, and local standards
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and facilities are maintained cleanly
• Assist with client laundry and household cleaning tasks
• Perform various tasks to ensure the facility is in a clean, orderly, sanitary, and attractive condition

Requirements

• Valid California Driver’s License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience performing non-professional, consumer-directed services in mental health, health care, or social service agency
• One (1) year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility is preferred
• Knowledge of and experience preparing therapeutic diets is preferred
• Ability to physically assist in lifting and carrying food service supplies and equipment without restriction
• SERV Safe Food Handler Certification

• Experience in mental health, health care, or social service agency
• Experience in dietary services in a medical facility
