About The Position

The Household Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations in community-based homes, including housekeeping, cooking, and maintenance tasks. This role involves advocating for clients' needs, supervising programmatic activities, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. The coordinator also assists in supporting mental health consumers with daily living activities and medication administration, while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • One year of experience in the mental health field preferred.
  • DPW approved Medication Administration Training (provided by Elwyn).
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily housekeeping and cooking.
  • Conduct food shopping and menu planning.
  • Maintain fire and safety documentation.
  • Oversee building and vehicle maintenance and safety.
  • Order supplies for community-based homes.
  • Provide supervision and programmatic decision-making.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights with outside agencies and families.
  • Assist Program Specialists in supporting mental health consumers in daily activities.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by a physician.
  • Follow doctor's orders regarding wound care and therapy directives.
  • Adhere to standards and procedures established by the Program Supervisor or Director.
