About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in a healthcare setting, ensuring that patient and resident areas meet health standards. This role involves various cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control and safety guidelines, contributing to the overall quality of care provided in the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use a computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas.
• Follow infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines.
• Empty waste baskets and clean floors using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Demonstrate knowledge of housekeeping processes in a healthcare environment.
• Keep storage, equipment, and carts well-stocked and tidy.
• Assist in laundry areas as needed.
• Use technology applications as required for the role.
